If B is the trait for brown eyes and b is the trait for blue, and a Homozygous Dominant dad and a homozygous recessive mom have

off-spring. How many of the F1 generation will be bb?

Zero of the offspring will be bb.  Since each offspring receives one allele from each parent, all will receive a B from Dad and a b from Mom, making all of the offspring heterozygous (Bb) and brown-eyed.

A true-breeding plant with green pods and wrinded seeds is crossed with a plant that is heterozygous for both traits. Drawa
AlekseyPX

The possible genotype would be when one of the parent is homozygous dominant -    Phenotype ratio= 16:0,  genotype ratio= 1 YYRR : 1YYRr: 1 yYRR: 1 YyRr.

when one of the parent is homozygous recessive the phenotype ratio is 4 yellow and round : 4 yellow and wrinkle : 4 green and round : 4 green and wrinkle and genotype ratio = YyRr:  Yyrr: yyRr: yyrr  or

1:1:1:1   genotype ratio.

Explanation:

The data given:

yellow and round dominant ---  Y R

Green and wrinkle recessive ---- yr

It is given a true breeding plant, which means the parent plant is homozygous for the trait. Let one of the parent be YYRR

Also it is given that it was crossed with heterozygous parent so the other parent be YyRr

The cross between them is shown in punnet square as:

       YR        Yr          yR           yr

YR  YYRR   YYRr    yYRR     YyRr

YR   YYRR   YYRr    YyRR    YyRr

YR   YYRR   YYRr    YyRR    YyRr

YR   YYRR   YYRr    YyRR    YyRr

4 YYRR: 4 YYRr: 4 YyRR: 4 YyRr

thus genotype ratio is 1:1:1:1

phenotype ratio all 16 are yellow and round.

In case when either parent is homozygous recessive is crossed with heterozygous parent. The punnet square for this is shown as:

yyrr X YyRr

      YR        Yr        yR      yr

yr YyRr     Yyrr     yyRr   yyrr

yr YyRr     Yyrr    yyRr    yyrr

yr YyRr     Yyrr   yyRr     yyrr

yr  YyRr     Yyrr  yyRr     yyrr

4 YyRr: 4 Yyrr: 4yyRr: 4yyrr

1:1:1:1   genotype ratio

phenotype ratio =  4 yellow and round : 4 yellow and wrinkle : 4 green and round : 4 green and wrinkle.

Thus phenotype ratio is 1:1:1:1

Answer: the most likely case would be that population reached the carrying capacity of the area.

Explanation:

Explanation:First off the population of the prey that is the "coastal fish" In this case will increase in population and acquire a greater area for their survival and will start to (die-off).when the predators in an area are reduced or get extinct this change triggers a reaction called as "tropic cascade" in the ecosystem in which the change in the predator population has affects on the food web.

For example :when the wolves were eliminatefls from the American west, there were changes in the elk population and the vegetation the elk ate.

Therefore both preys and predators balance each other.

Why is photosynthesis slower with underwater plants?
guajiro [1.7K]

Explanation: Photosynthesis is slower with underwater plants because carbon dioxide diffuse much more slowly in water than in air underwater leaves lack a waxy coating because carbon dioxide is easier to absorb without this layer.

Q3.29. Three of the following statements are reasons why climatologists have considerable confidence in global climate models (G
dybincka [34]

The statement which is not a representation or accurate description of GCMs is option C which states that "<em><u>gcms </u></em><em><u>describe both </u></em><em><u>climate </u></em><em><u>and </u></em><em><u>weather </u></em><em><u>in perfect detail because they are </u></em><em><u>meticulously</u></em><em><u> constructed and continuously updated.</u></em>" given that this statement is untrue in regards to GCMs.

GCM is the acronym for <u>Global Climate change Model</u>. These are models created by scientists using well-understood laws of physics and chemistry in addition to many others. This along with the use of real-world data observed in the past produces realistic simulations of weather patterns and storms, along with temperature estimations for the Earth.

The key is to understand that weather and climate are <u>ever-changing </u>entities that rely on <u>many </u><u>dynamic</u><u> </u><u>factors </u><u>that are in constant change</u>. This makes a <em><u>perfectly detailed</u></em> simulation or perfect accuracy predictions <u>virtually impossible,</u> despite the meticulous way in which the process is performed. This is why option C is incorrect.

<em>The question was answered with the assumption that the complete question with options is as follows:</em>

<em>Three of the following statements are reasons why climatologists have considerable confidence in global climate models (gcms). which statement is not? </em>

<em>A. gcms produce realistic weather patterns and storm events, even though these phenomena are not specifically coded in the models </em>

<em>B. gcms produce global mean temperature changes similar to observed real-world changes when the models are driven by realistic historical forcings. </em>

<em>C. gcms describe both climate and weather in perfect detail because they are meticulously constructed and continuously updated. </em>

<em>D. gcms are designed to be driven by basic, universal physical laws that are well understood, such as the conservation of energy, mass, and momentum. reset selection gateway</em>
