Answer:

C) Vietnam

Explanation:

In the heat of the Cold War, on April 7, 1954, the then President of the United States, Dwight Eisenhower, exposed for the first time the so-called "Domino Effect Theory", which states that if any country fell under the influence of communism, surrounding countries would also fall as if they were a row of dominoes standing. The presentation was made in a speech at the Conference on Indochina in Geneva.

This theory was used by Washington to justify military interventions in various parts of the world. This belief would lead the United States to the Vietnam War.

Referring to communism in Indochina, Eisenhower said: "What is the beginning of the series of falling dominoes? You have a row of domino pieces standing. You drop the first piece and what happens to the last one in the queue? It will certainly fall very quickly. So if there is a beginning of democratic disintegration it will certainly have the deepest influence in the surrounding countries.
