Answer:

493.02 g.

Explanation:

Density = mass/volume

mass = density×volume

m = D×V ............................ Equation 1

m = mass of the aluminum foil, D = Density of the aluminum foil, V = volume of the aluminum foil.

V = L×W×H................... Equation 2

Where L = length of the aluminum foil, W = wide of the aluminum foil, H = thickness of the aluminum foil.

Given: L = 59.3 yd = 59.3×0.9144 m = 54.224 m, W = 13 in = 13×0.0254 m = 0.3302 m, H = 0.00040 in = 0.00040×0.0254 m = 0.0000102 m.

Substituting into equation 2

V = 54.224×0.3302×0.0000102

V = 0.0001826 m³ = (0.0001826×1000000) cm³

V = 182.6 cm³

Also given D = 2.70 g/cm³

Substitute into equation 1

m = 2.7×182.6

m = 493.02 g.

The mass in grams of the foil = 493.02 g.

  • Differing opinions
  • Incompatibilities
  • A difficult challenge
  • Superiority

However, it's very important for an individual to possess the ability to disagree respectfully with another person because of the following:

A stone is thrown in a vertically
Lemur [1.5K]

Answer:

1.25 m

0.5 s

Explanation:

Given:

v₀ = 5 m/s

v = 0 m/s

a = -10 m/s²

Find: Δy

v² = v₀² + 2aΔy

(0 m/s)² = (5 m/s)² + 2 (-10 m/s²) Δy

Δy = 1.25 m

Find: t

v = at + v₀

(0 m/s) = (-10 m/s²) t + (5 m/s)

t = 0.5 s

An archer pulls her bowstring back 0.400 m by exerting a force that increases uniformly from zero to 230 N. (a) What is the equi
tino4ka555 [31]

Answer: An archer pulls her bowstring back 0.400m by exerting a force that increases uniformly from zero to 230N. The equivalent spring constant of the bow will be 575N/m

Explanation: To find the answer, we have to know about the Simple Harmonic Motion.

What is Simple Harmonic Motion?

  • A particle is said to execute simple harmonic motion, if it moves to and fro about mean position under the action of restoring force.
  • The restoring force is directly proportional to its displacement from the mean position and always directed towards the mean position.
  • If x is the displacement from the mean position, and F is the restoring force, then

                   F∝-x

                   F=-kx where, k is called the spring constant.

How to approach the problem?

  • Given that, an archer pulls her bowstring back 0.400m by exerting a force that increasing from zero to 230N.
  • Here, from the question given, we can write, x=-0.400m and F=230N.
  • Thus, our spring constant k will be,

                       k=-F/x= (230)/ (0.400) =575 N/m.

Thus, we can conclude that, the equivalent spring constant of the bow will be 575N/m.

A 800N mountain climber scales a 140m cliff. How much work is done by the mountain climber?
tekilochka [14]

Answer:

112 [kJ]

Explanation:

1) related formula is: A=F*S, where A - required work [J], F - force [N], S - distance [m].

2) according to the formula above: A=140*800=112000[J]=112 [kJ]
