Calculate the change in momentum of a ball has 35 kg mass and it changed its velocity from 3m/s to 6 m/s
inessss [21]

Answer:

105 kg.m/s

Explanation:

Formula for change in momentum is given as;

ΔP = m(v - u)

We are given;

Mass; m = 35 kg

Initial velocity; u = 3 m/s

Final velocity; v = 6 m/s

Thus;

ΔP = 35(6 - 3)

ΔP = 35 × 3

ΔP = 105 kg.m/s

Consider the equation . The dimensions of the variables v, x, and t are , , and , respectively. The numerical factor 3 is dimens
Vinvika [58]

Answer:

Part of the question is missing but here is the equation for the function;

Consider the equation v = (1/3)zxt2. The dimensions of the variables v, x, and t are [L/T], [L], and [T] respectively.

Answer = The dimension for z = 1/T3 i.e 1/ T - raised to power 3

Explanation:

What is applied is the principle of dimensional homogenuity

From the equation V = (1/3)zxt2.

  • V has  a dimension of [L/T]
  • x has a dimension of [L]
  • t has a dimension of [T]
  • from the equation, make z the subject of the relation
  • z = v/xt2 where 1/3 is treated as a constant
  • Substituting into the equation for z
  • z = L/T / L x T2
  • the dimension for z = 1/T3 i.e 1/ T - raised to power 3

A proton moves with a speed of 0. 985c. (a) calculate its rest energy
mojhsa [17]

The rest energy of the proton will be 938 MeV. The rest energy is related to the rest mass of the proton.

<h3>What is rest energy?</h3>

The rest energy is the rest mass times the square of the speed of light of a particle at rest in an inertial frame of reference.

The rest energy is found as;

\rm E_R= mC^2\\\\  E_R=(1.67 \times 10^{-27})\times 3 \times 10^8)^2\\\\ E_R= 9.375 \times 10^8 / eV

Convert into the mega electron volt;

\rm E_R= 938 \  MeV

Hence, the rest energy of the proton will be 938 MeV
