Answer:

The distance of the point from the origin = 9.29 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given point:

(7,-6)

The angle lies such that the terminal side of the angle contains the given point.

To draw the angle and find the distance from the origin to the given point.

Solution:

The terminal side of the angle is where the angle ends with the initial side being the positive side of the x-axis.

So, we can plot the point (7,-6) by moving 7 units on the x-axis horizontally and -6 units on the y-axis vertically.

We can find the distance of the point from the origin by find the hypotenuse of the triangle formed.

Applying Pythagorean theorem.

Hypotenuse^2=Shorter\ Leg^2+Shortest\ Leg^2

Hypotenuse^2 = (7)^2+(-6)^2

Hypotenuse^2=49+36\\Hypotenuse^2=85

Taking square root both sides :

\sqrt{Hypotenuse^2}=\sqrt{85}

Hypotenuse = 9.29\ units

Thus, the distance of the point from the origin = 9.29 units.

The figure is shown below.

How high would a two story building be if each story was 15ft.? What about a 10-story building? What about a 30-story building
Serhud [2]
This is a very simple question, however having all the words are pretty confusing, right? Don't worry I am going to break it down. First thing you want to do is forget about how many stories are how many feet, because you are trying to find that but are probably getting very confused. So write down that the word EACH= 1-story, Then have 1-story= 15ft. so basically you add 15 to every story. 1=15, 2=30, use this to find the answers 15x= ft---> 15(10)=150ft---> do the last one. If you anymore questions I will break it down further, I used to have a hard time with these.

How do you solve this step by step?
kolezko [41]

Answer:

90

Step-by-step explanation:

Evaluate x^2 + 2 x^2 + 3 x^2 + 4 x^2 where x = 3:

x^2 + 2 x^2 + 3 x^2 + 4 x^2 = 3^2 + 2×3^2 + 3×3^2 + 4×3^2

3^2 = 9:

3^2 + 2×9 + 3×3^2 + 4×3^2

3^2 = 9:

3^2 + 2×9 + 3×9 + 4×3^2

3^2 = 9:

3^2 + 2×9 + 3×9 + 4×9

3^2 = 9:

9 + 2×9 + 3×9 + 4×9

2×9 = 18:

9 + 18 + 3×9 + 4×9

3×9 = 27:

9 + 18 + 27 + 4×9

4×9 = 36:

9 + 18 + 27 + 36
