The Brooklyn Bridge which has a height of 40.5 meters is one of the first cable styled suspension in which steel wires were used,  in the world. However, Brooklyn was not part of New York at that time. The construction of the bridge started in 1869 and completed in 1883 and Brooklyn became part of New York City in 1898. At that time it connected two major cities of the United States that is Brooklyn and Manhattan city.
