MrRa [10]
L= length
W= width

Perimeter= 2L + 2W

substitute the known numbers
34 ft= 2(8 ft) + 2W

34= 16 + 2W
subtract 16 from both sides

18= 2W
divide both sides by 2

9 ft= W

PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HELP MEEEEE I BEG YOU ITS DUE TOMMOW I NEED TO GET THIS DONE DDDD:
Rama09 [41]

Answer: Yes it will, 3.75

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok lets break this down. Let's break it down like a EUROBEAT dubstep track hot off the rack (oh yea).

Look: area is width times height. ok... interesting.

Lets put this in some FANCY LOOKING EQUATION.

........can we actually replace some words with what we have in the question? OH YEA WE CAN.

14 \frac{1}{16}  =  3 \frac{3}{4} * height

DUDE. THERES ONLY ONE VARIABLE MISSING theoretically we can do some ALGEBRA and find out what the height is. ok? this sounds cool but man these fractions are annoying so lets convert them into numbers. what is 1 / 16? put that in a calculator, slam it in like youre putting a BAKED APPLE PIE in the oven and pull it out and 1 / 16 is equal to 0.0625. ok so lets combine that with 14. and we get 14.0625 (this is convenient).

can we do the same process with the other number? 3 / 4 is equal to 0.75. combine it with 3 and we get 3.75.

14.0625 = 3.75 * height

WOW I DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT THIS LOOKS A LOT CLEANER.

lets do some algebra and this means that we must do opposite on both sides. 3.75 times the height.. what is the opposite of this? 3.75 divided by height. divide 3.75 on both sides by slamming it into a calculator like youre putting an apple pie in the oven and (14.0625 divided by 3.75)

3.75 = height

the answer is 3.75. INTERESTING! THE HEIGHT IS 3.75!

what does this mean?

it will fit. because 3.75 is less than 4. THERE IS ENOUGH SPACE! YAAAAY! we have enough space for a mirror. Yes it will. because the height is 3.75 feet.

swag.
