Answer: 2x - 3y = -12

Step-by-step explanation: In this problem, we're asked to convert the equation of this line from slope intercept to standard form.

Standard form cannot have any fractions in it. So our first step in this problem is to get rid of the fraction by multiplying both sides of the equation by 3.

On the left we have 3y and on the right we distribute the 3 through both terms inside the parentheses to get 3 × 2/3x which is 2x + 3 × 4 which is 12.

In our next step, we move the x-term to to the left side of the equation by subtracting 2x from both sides. That gives us -2x + 3y = 12. Notice that I put the x-term first on the left side of the equation so that this will eventually match up with standard form which is written Ax + By = C.

Finally in standard form, the coefficient of the x-term must be positive and in this case we have a negative coefficient which is -2x. So our final step would be to divide both sides of the equation by -1 to get 2x - 3y = -12.

Answer:

AC=14

X=10

Y=1

Hoped this helped!

Step-by-step explanation:

DE is half of BC, therefore x=10. AE and EC have to be the same length, which is 7. SO, y=1 and x is 10.

X= ?? geometry ??? And how ????
steposvetlana [31]

Using the equations for tangent and secant lines:

Let the unknown length of the line inside the circle = y

6^2 = 3 x (y+3)

Simplify:

36 = 3y+9

Subtract 9 from both sides:

27 =3y

Divide both sides by 3:

Y = 9

Now add to get x:

X = 9 + 3 = 12

X = 12
