Ribosomal RNA is produced in the cytoplasm. True False

Biology

The rRNA or the ribosomal RNA (Ribonucleic acid) is produced inside the nucleus of the cell. The rRNA, after it is produced in the nucleus, is combined with the cytoplasmic proteins, which enter the nucleolus, where the ribosomes are then formed. The rRNA is incorporated into these ribosomes.

The rRNA helps in the process of protein synthesis along with the mRNA, and the tRNA.

Hence, the answer is 'False'.

Answer:

no

Explanation:

synthetic folic acid is way more harmful then the natural folate in foods, it may build up in the body and raise cancer, and synthetic copies of natural chemicals are not as good for you

If two orange heliodors have a child, what is the probability their child would be red?
Stels [109]

Answer:

25% or 1/4

Explanation:

The gene for colour in Heliodors is controlled by two contrasting alleles that codes for Red (R) and Yellow (Y) colours. However, these two alleles exhibit incomplete dominance, which is a phenomenon whereby a combination of both alleles gives rise to a third intermediate phenotype that is a blending of the other two parental phenotypes. In this case, both colours gives rise to a heterozygous Orange coloration (RY) in Heliodors.

However, if two orange Heliodors (RY) are crossed, four possible offsprings will be produced with the genotypes: RR, RY, RY, YY. This shows a phenotypic ratio of 1 red: 2orange: 1yellow. Hence, the probability of having a child with red coloration is 1 out of 4 possible offsprings i.e. 1/4.

Expressing this in percentage, we have 1/4 × 100 = 25%.

Researchers are studying the abnormal activity of kinases in relation to cancer. Theoretically, how might researchers use signal
myrzilka [38]

Answer:

I am pretty sure that the answer is A.

Explanation:

Protein kinases regulate the cell cycle by giving the "go-ahead" or "stop" signal at checkpoints in the cycle. A mutation/disruption in the protein kinases can result in it not doing its job properly. As a result, it can give the 'go-ahead' signal to all cells (mutated or not) to continue through the cell cycle. A distrupted kinase will infleunce the enviornment for a cancer cell as the cancer cell can continue to divide continuously.

I do not think the answer is D because G-couped receptirs are not involed in the regulation of the cell cycle. Additionally, I do not think the answer is C since the production of cAMP (a secondary messgenger amplifies transduction signals; this doesn't have anything to do with cancer?) Finally, between A and B I know that a direct result of cancer is due to a distruption in either protien kinases or  growth factors (not in the answer choices). Since one of the factors that  leads to cancer is present in answer choice A, I think that is the one. However, this is just my reasoning, I am not 100% sure!

Where is chlorophyll found?
lyudmila [28]

Answer:

In the chloroplast.

Explanation:

Chlorophyll is a green pigment plants use to absorb light so they can make food via photosynthesis. Chloroplasts are organelles that contain chlorophyll, so it only makes sense that the best answer is the chloroplast.
