THE RIGHT ANSWER IS D; Both distributions are skewed left, so the interquartile range is the best measure to compare variability.

100% the correct answer I just took the test, went back and copied ^ this over from my test. It was correct I promise!! Have a good day and get these credits finished before senior year like me!! :D

Plotting the data (attached photo) roughly shows that the data is skewed to the left. In other words, data is skewed negatively and that the long tail will be on the negative side of the peak.

In such a scenario, interquartile range is normally the best measure to compare variations of data.

Therefore, the last option is the best for the data provided.

1. What is the area of the triangle below?<br> 10 in.<br> 7 in.
Alex787 [66]

Hi

<u>The area of a triangle is </u>

\cfrac{base*height}{2}

If we plug in the given values, we get:

\frac{10*7}{2}

Multiply in the numerator:

\frac{70}{2}

Divide:

35

Therefore, the area of the triangle is 35 inches squared.

AfilCa [17]

Answer:

625

600+20+5

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>Parenthesis</em>

<em>Exponent</em>

<em>Multiply</em>

<em>Divide</em>

<em>Add</em>

<em>Subtract</em>

<em>From left to right.</em>

<em>Do exponent first.</em>

<em>5^4=5*5*5*5=625</em>

<em>Standard form of 5^4 is: ⇒  600+200+5</em>

<em>625 is the correct answer.</em>

<em>600+200+5 is the correct answer.</em>

[Calculus, Derivatives] Can a function be differentiable at certain points even if the entire function is not differentiable?
koban [17]

A function is differentiable if you can find the derivative at every point in its domain. In the case of f(x) = |x+2|, the function wouldn't be considered differentiable unless you specified a certain sub-interval such as (5,9) that doesn't include x = -2. Without clarifying the interval, the entire function overall is not differentiable even if there's only one point at issue here (because again we look at the entire domain). Though to be fair, you could easily say "the function f(x) = |x+2| is differentiable everywhere but x = -2" and would be correct. So it just depends on your wording really.
