Given:

In the given ΔXYZ,

Base = 22

Height = 23.1

Also,

Base = 31.9

Height = 15.9

To find the area of the given ΔXYZ.

Formula

The area of a triangle is

A = \frac{1}{2} bh

where, b be the base and

h be the height.

Now,

Taking, b = 22 and h = 23.1 we get,

A = \frac{1}{2} (22)(23.1) sq unit

Again,

Taking,

b = 31.9 and h = 15.9 we get,

A = \frac{1}{2} (31.9)(15.9) sq unit

Therefore,

We can find the approximate area of the triangle by following two expression

a) \frac{1}{2} (22)(23.1) and

b) \frac{1}{2} (31.9)(15.9)

My name is Ann [436]
X= 13.5

Every triangle equals 180 degrees. 23+23= 46. 46 - 1= 45. Then you solve the equation 10x+45=180 which would equal, 13.5.

A car covered a certain distance at a speed of 24 mph. While returning, the car covered the same distance at a speed of 16 mph.
djyliett [7]

Since the distances were the same you can find the average speed directly by adding the speeds then dividing by 2. No need to weight anything.

If we’re considering speed regardless of direction, the average speed is:

(24 + 16) / 2 = 40 / 2 = 20mph

However if direction matters, then one number has to be negative since the directions are opposite:

(24 - 16) / 2 = 8 / 2 = 4mph (in the positive direction)

Depending on the context, either of these could be your answer.
