Although my friend has contracted a disease that has no cure, I would feel comfortable in his presence and help him research information about the disease and treatment options. Also, I would worry about my friend's mental health and ask if he is doing well and think he needs psychological counseling to learn how to deal with the situation.

Finally, I would tell my friend that today people with HIV can lead a normal, quality life if they have the necessary medical care. Also, I would ask if he wants my company while visiting the doctor and would tell her that any need he could call me.

I would be fine still being around that friend and do my best not to make any comments on the disease they contracted. Considering the fact that it is only communicable through contact like touching there saliva, or of course, coitus, I dont have to be worried as long as im not trying to bang said friend.
