Meroë is an ancient city located by the Nile river in present Sudan. This city was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Kush. This was one of the largest and most advanced kingdoms south of the Sahara. It also interacted with many other Nile Valley states.

Kush was located in the region known as Nubia. This is the area that is found between Aswan in southern Egypt and Khartoum in central Sudan. Nubia greatly benefitted from the resources that were found in Meroë. Meroë provided Nubia with wood and iron. These were used as materials to make tools for farming. The wood was also used as a heat source. Finally, these resources were also commonly used to make weapons.

How did the United States respond to the Soviet blockade of West Berlin in 1948?
svp [43]

Answer:

The United States sent huge airdrops of supplies like food, water, and medicine to the citizens of the besieged city. The US and Truman, the current president at the time, did not want to start a war but still felt as though they needed to help. So, they sent as many supplies to the city and their allies as they could. The airdrop was an extreme success, not only giving supplies out but also showing Russia the technological superiority of the United States.
