Even though its true that our body could not produce its own minerals, it still can caused decreased immune system, lack of energy and in some cases organ failure. The only way for humans to obtain these necessary minerals is by consuming other plants or animals.

However, trace minerals are minerals the body requires but in a small amount. Trace minerals include

  • Fluoride
  • Zinc
  • Iodide
  • Copper

Individuals can get minerals from food and some the minerals you can get from food include

Calcium: It helps the bones in your body to be strong.  Some of the foods that are rich in calcium include yogurt, broccoli, orange juice and many more

Potassium: it helps the muscles in your body to perform effectively. Some of the foods that are rich in potassium include tomatoes, legumes, potatoes, etc.

Other minerals you can get from food include

  • Iron (egg, beans, broccoli, etc.)
  • Zinc (beef, beans, peanuts, etc.)
