The algebraic expression can be used to find the nth term of the sequence is:

a_n = 5+3n

Where, n\geq 1 and n is a positive whole number

Solution:

Given sequence is:

8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23

Let us find the common difference between terms

11 - 8 = 3

14 - 11 = 3

17 - 14 = 3

20 - 17 = 3

23 - 20 = 3

Thus the common difference between successive term and previous term is constant

Thus this is a arithmetic sequence

The formula for nth term term of arithmetic sequence is given as:

a_n = a_1+(n-1)d

Where,

a_n is the nth term of sequence

a_1 is the first term of sequence

d is the common difference between terms

Here in this sequence, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23

a_1 = 8\\\\d = 3

Therefore,

a_n = 8+(n-1)3\\\\a_n = 8+3n -3\\\\a_n = 5+3n

Where, n\geq 1 and n is a positive whole number

Thus algebraic expression can be used to find the nth term of the sequence is found

Answer:

3) 20% of the students earned a D

Step-by-step explanation:

9 students got a D.

5 students got a C.

14 students got a B.

17 students got an A.

Total number of students:

9 + 5 + 14 + 17 = 45

1) 1/5 of the students earned a C

1/5 of 45 = 9

5 students got a C

False

2) 3% more students earned an A then B

3 more students got an A than a B, but not 3%.

False

3) 20% of the students earned a D

20% of 45 = 9

9 students got a D.

True

4) 1/4 of the class earned a B

1/4 of 45 = 11.25

There were 14 B's.

False

Answer: 3) 20% of the students earned a D

How can i simplify 16m cubed -10m squared
adoni [48]
16m cubed - 10m squared......
take out the common factors
they both have a two that can go into it and both have two m's you can take out
so then it becomes
2m squared(8m-5) and thats your answer (:

There are total 4 outcomes

We can get:

Head, Tail
Tail, Head
Tail, Tail

So, tossing 2 coins, result in 4 possible outcomes which make the sample space.

So correct answer is option B

A company has cups for its water cooler. Each cup has a height of 14 cm and the base has a radius of 3 cm. How much water is nee
Nitella [24]

Answer:

125 cups can hold 49.5 liters of water.

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of the cup will tell how much water is needed to fill each cup.

The volume of the cup can be determined by the formula

V= base area* height

V= πr²* h

V= 22/7 (3)² (14)

V= 396cm³

125 cups can hold 125 * 396 cm³= 49500cm³

But 1 cm³= 0.001 Liters

Therefore = 49500*0.001= 49.5 liters

125 cups can hold 49.5 liters of water.
