Answer: This is only my opinion but I beleive that any type of steryotyping is bad. I don't think that people should generalize a certain idea or a certain group of people because everyone is different in their own way. So basically what I'm trying to say is that steryotyping can't really ever be a good thing.  And again this is a pretty debatable topic because some people think it can be a good thing sometimes, but I honestly in my opinion think it offends people. It just depends on the way you look at it.

Meter gives poetry a predictable rhythm and influences how a poem is read, both silently and aloud. What is the basic unit of me
Alinara [238K]
The basic unit of meter in poetry is a foot.
Syllable would be the correct answer if the option said 'stressed or unstressed syllable,' because there are two types of syllables, not only the unstressed one. An iamb and a trochee are types of feet in poetry, so they are incorrect as well. A foot is a unit of meter which consists of a number of syllables.

Read the excerpt below and answer the question.
Paraphin [41]

Answer:

Fortunato's dress foreshadows his being a fool or buffoon.

Explanation:

Edgar Allen Poe's short story "The Cask of Amontillado" is about Montresor's revenge on Fortunato, who had insulted him many times. The story deals with themes of revenge, friendship, appearance and reality, sin, etc.

In the given excerpt from the story, Montresor describes Fortunato's dress when he first met him that carnival night. He revealed that <em>"[Fortunato] wore motley . . . had on a tight-fitting parti-striped dress, and his head was surmounted by the conical cap and bells."</em> "Motley" refers to the multicolored suit worn by clowns, which seems to <u>foreshadow the character of Fortunato as a buffoon or a fool.</u>

Thus, the correct answer is the first option.
