Another difference between the two groups is in how they hunt. Whales that hunt fish tend to travel in large pods (groups of whales) and vocalize often. Answer:

behavioral separation

Explanation:

The separation leading to the speciation of the two groups of killer whales would be considered a behavioral separation.

Behavioral separation or isolation is a form of separation that occurs between two groups of individuals (that use to be of the same group) as a result of preference for a particular behavior or set of behaviors.

The preference for the behavior eventually leads to the two groups becoming separate species, a form of speciation known as sympatric speciation.
