  • IMR is infant mortality rate. This study helps to the the death rate of the infants in a particular region at a particular time. In one year the number of births in a given geographical area during the given year.
  • The number of deaths' of infants ( that is child below 1 year age) per 1,000 persons among the population of the given geographical area during the same year is calculated.
  • IMR is an important factor which indicates the health of the  population, reflecting the various factors and conditions present in a particular region and it effect on the population.
