To get to school he walks 1138, so to get back he would walk 1138 steps added to another 1138 steps. in which you would get 2276. That would be the total for one day. So next you would multiply 2276 times 5. And that would be 11,380 for the whole week. 

1138 + 1138 = 2276
2276 * 5 = 11380

t=1 year
FV=500(1+0.02)^1=$510
