What is "3x−9=7y" in standard form?

The standard form is Ax + By = C
with A being both positive and non-fraction

so we are given 3x - 9 = 7y
we add the 9 to both sides
3x = 7y + 9
and subtract the 7y from both sides
3x - 7y = 9

There you have it in standard form

Hope this helps ;)

I forgot to do slopes
Minchanka [31]
To find the slope of the line, use the rise over run formula:

\frac{y_{2} - y_{1}}{x_{2} - x_{1}}

Take any two points from the line and plug them into the formula.

(0,0) and (10, 5)

\frac{5 - 0}{10 - 0} = \frac{5}{10} = 0.5

The slope of the line is 0.5.

Using the form y = mx, the following equation will be your answer:

y = 0.5x

Plz I need URGENT help!
natulia [17]

Answer:

The average temperatures were:

  • <u>New York City: 63</u>
  • <u>San Francisco: 64</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Remember that, the average is obtained in the form below:

  • Average = The sum of all the values / the number of values.

In this case, the number of values is 12 because are the number of months in the year. The sum of values is shown below for each case:

  • <u>Average temperature in New York City = (39 + 42 + 50 + 61 + 71 + 81 + 85 + 84 + 76 + 65 + 55 + 47) / 12 = 63. </u>
  • <u>Average temperature in San Francisco = (57 + 60 + 62 + 63 + 64 + 67 + 67 + 68 + 70 + 69 + 63 + 58) / 12 = 64.</u>

I don't add units because the table doesn't specify if they are Celsius, Fahrenheit, or others.

F(x) = x² +4x3<br> 12<br> What is the vertex
Marat540 [252]

Step-by-step explanation:

We must take our equation and put it in vertex form,

f

(

x

)

=

a

(

x

−

h

)

2

+

k

where

h

,

k

is our vertex.

This equation will not factor into two squares

(

x

−

h

)

2

so we must use the completing the square method.

First we'll get rid of the

3

by subtracting it giving

x

2

−

4

x

=

−

3

Next we take half of the -4 the square it and add it to our equation to give us

x

2

−

4

x

+

4

. Since we added

4

to the left, we must also add it to the right giving

x

2

−

4

x

+

4

=

+

4

−

3

.

Now we can factor the left into two perfect squares,

(

x

−

2

)

2

=

1

.

Finally, we subtract

1

from both sides giving

(

x

−

2

)

2

−

1

. Our vertex is

h

,

k

giving

2

,

−
