The essay by Henry David Thoreau in which he makes more elaborate use of metaphor is "Walden, or, Life in the Woods" (1854).
In this essay, Thoreau uses more elaborate metaphor to convey the ideas of nonindividuality and to show how the human mind is easily influenced as the Earth's soil is marked by the steps of others.
The way in which he describes and metaphorizes nature and human existance in the space of Walden Pond contributes to adapt complex and abstract ideas of humanistic guidance into understandable language.

Hey Mathhiue,
You wont believe what happened at mt job today, it wasnt a pleasent experiance at all. There was a group of deaf people that came out to the front too take an oder and they got very angry that I couldnt understand any of their hand gestures or what they were pointing at on the menu. I was only able to figure out two items. The thing is, one of them had a piece of paper and only she used it! I had to get one of my coworkers to help me, and she luckily could understand what they wanted.
At the end they USED THE PAPER to write "Her is not good at job". When Im a guy. Anyways hope you enjoyed episode 100 of workplace experiances!
