If they're integers, that means they can't be fractions (such as 15/2 and 2).

So the only couples of integers that, when multiplied, result in 15 are:

1 and 15
5 and 3.

(there are no other possibilities as both 5 and 3 are not divisible further).
The smaller of the two sums (15+1; 5+3) is 5+3=8.

The least possible sum of a and b is 8.

Find the area of the shaded region

tatiyna

Answer:

9.82 inches²

Step-by-step explanation:

both areas are equally sized, so they are both half of the whole circle.

circle area : pi × r²

half of the circle area is therefore pi × r² / 2

the picture gives us the diameter of the circle, the radius is half of the diameter.

=> r = 5/2 = 2.5

=> shaded area = pi × r² / 2 = pi × (2.5)² / 2 = 9.82 inches²

Solve for g.
-3+5+ 6g=11-3g
DaniilM [7]

Answer:

g=1

Step-by-step explanation:

First you would combine like terms and get 2+6g=11-3g

Then add 3g to both sides and get 2+9g=11

Then subtract 2 from both sides and get 9g=9

Lastly divide both sides by 9 and get g=1
