I believe the correct answer is option D. Corinthian is not one of the three main periods of Greek sculpture. Instead, it is Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic that are the main periods. Corinthian is the  last developed of the three principal classical orders of ancient Greek and Roman architecture.

Option D i.e Corinthian is the correct answer.

The three main periods of Greek sculpture are :

1. The Archaic Period (c.650-500 BCE) : In this period monumental marble sculpture was developed.

2.  The Classical Period (c.500-323 BCE) : During this period, the Greek sculpture was at its peak.

3. The Hellenistic Period (c.323-27 BCE) : The "Greek" style of 3-D art was practiced.

How does natural selection lead to the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria?
choli [55]

Answer:

Antibiotic resistance is a consequence of evolution via natural selection. The antibiotic action is an environmental pressure; those bacteria which have a mutation allowing them to survive will live on to reproduce. They will then pass this trait to their offspring, which will be a fully resistant generation.

Survival of the Fittest (Natural Selection):

When bacteria are initially exposed to an antibiotic, those most susceptible to the antibiotic will die quickly, leaving any surviving bacteria to pass on their resistant features to succeeding generations.
