(4x^1^0) + (4x^6)=    Factor \ the \ equation

4x^6(x^4+1)  Factor \ out \ the \ common \ term \ 4x^6

If \ you \ mean \ (4*10) + (4*6)= you \ do :

(4*10) + (4*6)=

40+4*6

40+24

40 + 24 = 64 :D       orrr..
4 x 10 = 40 then 40 + 4 x 6 = 264 (< basically 44 x 6)

There were 96 students and 34 adults at the concert. If 65% of the seats were filled, how many seats are in the auditoriom? Roun
konstantin123 [22]

Answer: 200 seats

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 96 students and 34 adults in a concert. The total number of people present is therefore:

= 96 + 34

= 130 people

These 130 people only fill 65% of the seats. Assume the total number of seats is x:

130 = 65% * x

x = 130/65%

x = 200 seats

Given circle O, angle A has a measure of 36° and the radius is 10 cm, find the area of sector BOC.
Fed [463]

Answer:

The area of the sector BOC is A' = 31.4 cm^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Radius of the circle = 10 cm = 0.1 m

Angle of sector \theta = 36°

Area of the circle A = \pi r^{2}

A = 3.14 × 0.1^{2} = 0.0314 m^{2}

Now area of the sector BOC is

A' = A (\frac{\theta}{360} )

A' = 0.0314 (\frac{36}{360} )

A' = 0.00314  m^{2} = 31.4 cm^{2}

Therefore the area of the sector BOC is A' = 31.4 cm^{2}

Write the phrase as an expression. Then evaluate when y=20.
alisha [4.7K]

Answer:

Q=\frac{40}{y-16}

Q=10

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the quotient be represented by 'Q'.

Given:

The difference of a number 'y' and 16 is y-16

Quotient is the answer that we get on dividing two terms. Here, the first term is 40 and the second term is y-16. So, we divide both these terms to get an expression for 'Q'.

The quotient of 40 and y-16 is given as:

Q=\frac{40}{y-16}

Now, we need to find the quotient when y=20. Plug in 20 for 'y' in the above expression and evaluate the quotient 'Q'. This gives,

Q=\frac{40}{20-16}\\Q=\frac{40}{4}=10

Therefore, the quotient is 10, when the value of 'y' is 20.
