What are the zeros of the function f(x)= 2x^2+16x-9
Lana71 [14]
So the step process for this is to factor it out so this is a complex trinomial so u will have to multiply 2 by -9 and the rest should be in your notes .

then once u factor it out you rearrange those two factored brackets and example of this would be

(x+3)(2x+1)

so x+3=0
therefore x=-3. you bring the 3 over to where the zero is and change the sign

for 2x+1=0
2x=-1
2x/2=-1
x=-1/2

so for this one you isolate for x and in order to get rid of 2x you divide by 2 for both
