Well, that might be perhaps because they're intereste in your topic. However, if you tell, or indicate that the information you provide is gonna actually affect them in some way; perhaps, a new method for their job, a new fact about a trend topic, etc... Then, be sure that you will raise their interest and consequently you will maintain their attention towards the end of your speech.
