Answer:

Laps of Luke for 1,2,3 and 4 practices = 4

Laps of Alex for 1,2,3 and 4 practices = 12

For three practices Luke:Alex = 3:9

Step-by-step explanation:

Practice number             1            2            3             4

Luke (Laps)                      1            1             1              1

Alex  (Laps)                      3           3             3             3

Now by simply adding numbers of laps for Luke and Alex one can get the answer.

For Luke, total number of Laps = 1+1+1+1 = 4

For Alex, total number of Laps = 3+3+3+3 = 12

Now, for three practices

For Luke, total number of Laps = 1+1+1 = 3

For Alex, total number of Laps = 3+3+3 = 9

The comparison for three practices can be shown as

Luke:Alex = 3:9

Luke: 1 practice 1 lap, 2 practices 2 laps, 3 practices 3 laps, 4 practices 4 laps

Alex: 1 practice 3 laps, 2 practices 6 laps, 3 practices 9 laps, 4 practices 12 laps

Luke ran 3 laps for 3 practices, and Alex ran 9 laps for 3 practices.

A line with a slope of –36/37 passes through the point (37, –36). What is its equation in slope-intercept form?
iren2701 [21]

Answer:

The answer is

<h2>y =  -  \frac{36}{37} x \\</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

To find an equation of a line when given the slope and a point we use the formula

y -  y_1 = m(x -  x_1)

where

m is the slope

( x1 , y1) is the point

From the question the point is (37, –36) and the slope is - 36/37

The equation of the line is

y + 36 =  -  \frac{36}{37} (x - 37) \\ y + 36 =  -  \frac{36}{37} x + 36 \\ y =  -  \frac{36}{37} x + 36 - 36

We have the final answer as

y =  -  \frac{36}{37} x \\

Hope this helps you

I NEED THIS ANSWER ASAP!!!! John painted his most famous work inhis country, in 1930 on composition board with perimeter 108.39
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

25.15 in

Step-by-step explanation:

let's say that x = wide

so x+5.89=length

the perimeter is = 2(width +length)

P=2(x+x+5.89)

108.39=2(2x+5.89)

2x+5.89=54.195

2x=48.305

x=24.1525 in

which is 24.15 in

The areas of two similar rectangles are 80 square feet and 500 square feet.
solniwko [45]
So, we have the area, easy. Multiply each of the answers by 80.
(Hint: You can change the fractions into decimals and do it then. It'll be much easier than trying to multiply it by the fractions.)
25/64=.390625 (I would round this to .39)
25/4=6.25
5/2=2.5
5/8=.625

Which one, when multiplied by 80, gives you 500?
80*.390625=31.25
80*2.5=200
80*.625=50.

Leaving 6.25*80=500. Meaning, 25/4 is your answer.
