marissa [1.9K]
Many early political structures were governed by hereditary and patriarchal rulers. This was actual the main problem that were faced by the people during the early years. The rulers were never chosen on merit and hence some of the civilizations lost the glory that their previous generations created. Due to this fact the United States of America slowly moved away from this strategy and went for the merit based selection.

If you wish to look for a particular phrase when conducting an internet search it is important to use
Ronch [10]
The correct answer is C. quotation marks

Using quotation marks forces the search engine to search only for websites that have that specific phrase. If you don't use them then it will also search for those websites that have only parts of the phrase, but using the marks makes it better for your search.

EleoNora [17]

Answer:

Piper's test is the Stanford Binet, and Taylor's test is the WAIS (Weschler Adult Intelligence Scale).

Explanation:

Both test are used to measure one's intelligence but they both differ in the way of measurement.

Let's break them down:

 • Stanford Binet: it is divided into 4 scales (verbal reasoning, visual/abstract reasoning, quantitative reasoning and short-term memory). All these give a single score, known as the G Factor; general intelligence.
 • WAIS: it measures different capacities and provides scores for each of them. It measures verbal comprehension, perceptive reasoning, work memory and processing speed.

In this case, Piper is taking the Stanford Binet since she will receive a single score, while Taylor is taking the WAIS and will receive 4 separate scores for each.
