Answer:

African religions are very diverse. They are as numerous as the ethnic groups that are present on the continent of Africa, and so therefore there’s no single creed or orthodoxy that can easily summarize the belief systems of African religions. On the other hand, the scholars that have attempted to dismiss approaching African religions as if it’s impossible have been nevertheless brought back to the fact that there are a number of fundamental similarities in the structure of indigenous religions in general, and of African religion in particular. And so because of that, it’s become more and more useful in recent days to speak about African Traditional Religions and talk about them in broad ways that would seek to bring together certain coherent structures that make up African religion. Unfortunately, missionaries and the colonialists who came in to Africa originally often portrayed Africans as savages, as backward. Often, regions were denigrated as un-evolved as compared to the west, with no civilizations. They were people that were caricatured as involved in superstition and animism and ancestor worship and so forth, and so there was a sense that it was not really worthy of study such as the higher religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, or Islam. Anthropologists actually contributed to this as well, and oftentimes wrote denigrating studies of these early religious encounters which helped to create false impressions.

Why is the value of community organizations and cooperatives difficult to measure?
masha68 [24]

Because there is a difficulty in quantifying, putting in numbers, the value of community and cooperative organizations. So the conclusion is simple: If you can not quantify you can not measure and if there is difficulty in quantifying, there is the same difficulty in measuring.

It’s been several months since you brought up the issue of gender diversity, and you are encouraged by the initial steps HentonC
Komok [63]

Answer:

Recommend HentonCast to establish a management-training program and encourage several promising minority assistant managers to participate in the program.

Explanation:

Diversity programs are a great way to strengthen a company. A diversity of backgrounds means a diversity of skills, ideas and solutions, while having an environment where people learn to tolerate and accept each other despite their differences reinforces teamwork and the development of a culture more accepting of diversity.

However, in order to have a really diverse company, minorities should have access to all the echelons in the hierarchy. Hiring them only for low level and mid level positions isn't enough - they should be able to take high level management positions as well. I'd recommend HentonCast to establish a management-training program and encourage several promising minority assistant managers to participate in the program. This way, minorities feel empowered because they see they can reach the upper levels of the company, and they become integrated because they aren't seen as outsiders who can only hold low and mid-level positions, but as equals who have access to every position.
