So here is how I got the simplest form. It took me two steps.

step 1: 56/2= 28 and then I also did 154/2= 77

so far we have 28/77 which can be further reduced:

step 2: ask yourself what goes into 28 and 77 evenly: the answer is 7. So what you do is:

      28/7= 4 and 77/7= 11

your final answer is: 4/11

Hopefully this helped and good luck.

We start with 56/154. Dividing each number by two, we have:

28/77

Dividing each number by seven, we have:

4/11

As the greatest common factor of 4 and 11 is 1, this fraction is in simplest form. Thus, 56/154 is equal to 4/11.

The amount of time it takes Evelyn to go grocery shopping is continuous and uniformly distributed between 20 minutes and 44 minu
vivado [14]

Answer:

85.71% probability that it takes Evelyn less than 38 minutes given that it takes less than 41 minutes for her to go grocery shopping

Step-by-step explanation:

An uniform probability is a case of probability in which each outcome is equally as likely.

For this situation, we have a lower limit of the distribution that we call a and an upper limit that we call b.

The probability that we find a value X lower than x is given by the following formula.

P(X < x) = \frac{x - a}{b-a}

Uniformly distributed between 20 minutes and 44 minutes.

This means that a = 20, b = 44.

What is the probability that it takes Evelyn less than 38 minutes given that it takes less than 41 minutes for her to go grocery shopping

We know that it takes less than 41 minutes, so we can update b to 41.

So

P(X < 38) = \frac{38 - 20}{41 - 20} = 0.8571

85.71% probability that it takes Evelyn less than 38 minutes given that it takes less than 41 minutes for her to go grocery shopping
