During that time people liked to read about how good life was and what "really" happened the life's of people in the 20's.  When times turned bad and people lost their jobs, they no longer liked reading about how life was in the 20's; However, people today can relate to this lifestyle after all these years. There is a great desire to become popular, rich, famous, and find true love within today's youth. It seems that most of them share this mostly unreachable common goal. zhenek [66]

Answer:

"The Great Depression was the worst economic downturn in the history of the industrialized world, lasting from 1929 to 1939. It began after the stock market crash of October 1929, which sent Wall Street into a panic and wiped out millions of investors. Over the next several years, consumer spending and investment dropped, causing steep declines in industrial output and employment as failing companies laid off workers. By 1933, when the Great Depression reached its lowest point, some 15 million Americans were unemployed and nearly half the country’s banks had failed." (<em>History.com</em>)

Svetlanka [38]

Answer:

Answered below

Explanation:

The overland routes of the Nile River and Mediterranean sea were trade routes used by merchants trading in ancient Egypt and across the middle East and Arabian nations. The ancient Egyptians traded gold, linen, copper, ebony, papyrus, grain and iron.

Egyptian traders met traders from other civilization just beyond the mouth of the Nile River to trade goods.

Disadvantages of the overland routes include; The route crossed a barren and really hot desert which made traveling challenging.

Also, the Egyptians placed a heavy tax on the usage of the route.

The discovery of the Cape of good hope made the route obsolete.
