Answer:

Spread further north

Explanation:

The prevalence of Loblolly pine in the southeastern US is probably associated with the temperature of this region, as this plant requires a minimum temperature to survive and pre-thrive. As the US is a large country, we know that there is a variation in temperature across the country and this makes it difficult for Loblolly pine to grow in places other than the south east. However, if average temperatures rise in the United States, we can expect Loblolly pine to begin to spread to the north, as rising temperatures would bring the northern temperature closer to the southeast temperature under normal conditions.

how were the perspectives of the Native Americans and the Europeans different? don't answer with links, and don't answer if you
hoa [83]

Answer:

The European culture clashed with the Native American way of living largely due to barriers caused by the greed of the European mentality. All of the adventurers and fortune seekers from Europe left  a trail of devastation among the indigenous inhabitants. Plague and small pox spread among the Natives, killing thousands. Tribes where forced off land that they had lived on for uncountable years. Those that did not willingly leave where murdered or worse, enslaved. All of this devastation happened because of differences in cultures and beliefs. The Europeans saw themselves as champions of the civilized world, and saw the natives as uneducated savages. The result was a near genocidal catastrophe.

Which of the following departments would be included in a state government's public safety function?
Alisiya [41]

Answer:

B. Department of Emergency Management.

Explanation:

Government can be defined as a body of leadership and procedures for enforcing rules and regulations in a society.

The Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) 5 established the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and it is mandated to provide a consistent nationwide approach by working together effectively and efficiently as a single, comprehensive management program to prepare for, respond to, and recover from domestic incidents and emergencies, regardless of cause, size, or complexity.

National Incident Management System (NIMS) is a comprehensive, national approach to domestic incident and emergency management for governments (federal, state and local), the private sector, non-governmental organizations, families and individuals that is applicable at all jurisdictional levels and across functional disciplines.

Generally, the Department of Emergency Management would be included in a state government's public safety function.

Which of the following would be an example of a latent function of attending a university? a. Meeting individuals to date b. Gai
Sphinxa [80]

Answer:

The correct option is a) meeting individuals to date

Explanation:

In the field of sociology, a latent function can be described as an event which are not intended or unintended results. On the contrary, manifest functions are events which are obvious.

Meeting individuals for dating is not the main reason why any person joins a university. Hence, it can be termed as a latent function.

All the other options mentioned except option a, depict the main reasons why a person joins a university. Hence, these options are manifest functions.

the theory that minute, discrete, finite, and indivisible elements are the ultimate constituents of all matter.
xenn [34]

Answer: Atomism

Explanation:

In a strict sense, atomism states that atoms are qualitatively identical, combinable only by juxtaposition, and indivisible. however, some forms of atomism are less strict on these features. Nuclear reactions show atoms that are no longer viewed as indivisible because more fundamental particles emerge in the explanations of nuclear reactions.
