Serggg [28]

Answer:

Explanation:

Remark

The problem is where. Photosynthesis is not a location. It is a process plants use to provide food for themselves. I'm not a biologist, but this how I imagine the sentence could be corrected.

Answer: Photosynthesis is the process by which plants transform the environmental elements of sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water into needed carbohydrates. This process is accomplished by the green pigment in the plant identified as the chemical chlorophyll.

I think I've fixed the problem, but I've made the thought more complex by simplifying it, if that makes any sense. If someone else answers this, I'd likely take that answer. Anyway, what I've written does fix the problem.

I need help on subtracting fractions
vampirchik [111]
Sure! First, you find a common denominator for all of the fractions. If you don't know how, search online. When they have the same denominator and they are equivalent fractions, subtract the numerator and keep the denominator. That is your answer!

Write the passive in the active voice.
AysviL [449]

Answer:

A. Mom read the novel in one day.

B. I will clean the house every Saturday.

C. The company requires the staff to watch a safety video every year.

D. Tom painted the entire house.

E. The teacher always answers the students' questions.

Explanation:

In order to rewrite the sentence into an active sentence, we first need to determine the subject. In other words, we need to find out who or what is performing the action.

For example, let's take the sentence “The ball was kicked by the little girl.”

In this sentence, all the ball is doing is sitting there. The girl, however, is performing the action of kicking the ball, which would make her our subject.

Next, we move the subject to the beginning of the sentence and then describe the action and what or who is affected by it. So “The ball was kicked by the little girl” can be rewritten to “The little girl kicked the ball.”

Part A

How does the author provide readers with important information about Aunt Gertrude in the passage's exposition?

The author includes a flashback that details the narrator's interactions with and views on his aunt.

The author has the narrator's uncle read aloud a letter written by Aunt Gertrude.

The author includes dialogue in which characters talk about Aunt Gertrude's traits.

The author foreshadows the ending by mentioning Aunt Gertrude's well-known generosity.

Question 2

Part B

Which sentence from the exposition best illustrates the function of this part of the story as identified in Part A?

“This was not the time to press Aunt Gertrude for details, and just a few minutes later, she died peacefully.”

"I had seen Aunt Gertrude more in the past two years than I had ever before in my life, and she could be terrifying, often wearing a mean scowl on her deeply lined face."

“I’ll never forget the last moments before she died.”

“Although I never felt particularly close to Aunt Gertrude, it was comforting to know she was close by in her last years.”

Sorry I could not attach the story myself but here this the name of it
