A.) 5-2 is 3 and 3/4 - 1/4 is 2/4 which simplifys to 1/2. So the answer to A) is 3 1/2.

B.). You need to find a common denominator for 2/3 and 1/5. So you would multiply 2(5)/3(5) and get 10/15. You need to do 1(3)/5(3) which gives you 3/15. Then you add them together which is 13/15. Then you add 7+2 which is 9. so your finally answer should be 9 13/15.
