False.  The exterior angle of a triangle is no specific number, it depends on the adjacent interior angle.

Put the following equation of a line into slope-intercept form, simplifying all
Rudik [331]

Answer:

y=-3x-3

Step-by-step explanation:

9x+3y=-9

This is currently in standard form, or ax+by=c.

To get it to slope-intercept form, (y=mx+b) first subtract 9x to both sides.

3y=-9x-9

Divide both sides by 3.

y=-3x-3

Derivatives of inverse trigonometric functions please explain answers
Jobisdone [24]

I'll explain how to do the first one:-

y = cos-1(x2)

This can be described as ' a function of a function'   x^2 is a function of x and cos-1(x^2) is a function of x^2.

We need to  apply the chain rule.

Personally I find this  easier to understand if i let u = x^2, so

If y = f(u) and u is a function of x then

dy/dx = dy/ du * du/dx

Here u = x^2  and y = cos-1(u)

du/dx = 2x

so dy/dx = d(cos-1(x^2) dx = dy/du * du/dx

= -1 / √(1 - u^2) * 2x

= -2x / √(1 - u^2)

= -2x / √(1 - (x^2)^2)

= -2x / √(1 - x^4)

I hope this helps. but if not. you might like to employ the formulae in the question - The square boxes contain the 'u' s in my answer. These formulae are equivalent to my explanation.

What is the volume of the composite figure?
Romashka [77]

Answer:

1428 in³

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the volume of this figure, we will need to use two formulas. The volume of a Rectangular Prism (A= l * w * h) and volume of a triangular prism. A = \frac{1}{2}(b*h)

If we look at the Rectangular Prism, we can find that l = 17, w = 8, and h = 5. Multiply these to find the volume:

17 × 8 × 5 = 680 in³.

Solving for the triangular prism gives us:

A = 1/2 (11 ×  8 × 17)

A = 748.

Add these two volumes to find the volume of the composite figure:

748 + 680 = 1428 in³
