What is -1/2 times 6 what does it equal?

The answer is -3 because when you multiply by 1/2 you divide by the bottom number which would be 2 divided by 6 which = 3 but when you multiply by a negative number you have to remember same signs are positive different signs are negative and since the numbers both have different signs than the answer would be negative.
