Answer:

The mandibular canal, also referred to as the Inferior Alveolar Canal (IAC), sits within the mandible. It serves the purpose of housing the inferior alveolar nerve which is responsible for supplying sensation to the lower teeth.

This canal also houses the inferior alveolar vein - a dental vein whose function is to (with the assistance of the posterior alveolar artery) drain blood from the lower teeth and jaw.

A picture of the mandibular canal is attached.

Cheers!

Which of the following acids would have the highest electronegativity?
Eddi Din [679]

2.a.The particles in the gas are moving faster than the particles in the liquid

2.b. The particles in a liquid are still connected, but the particles in a gas have separated from each other and now fly around to fill the container.

3.a. It dissolves into Hydrogen ions in water (H+).

The major difference between liquid and a gas particles of the same substance at the same temperature is that the particles in the gas are moving faster than the particles in the liquid due to distance between particles. The particles in a liquid are connected to each other, but the particles in a gas are separated from each other and moves freely in the container.

Acid forms Hydrogen ions in water (H+) and It cannot be mixed with oil due to its polarity. An acid is a molecule that donates a proton (H+) according to Bronsted–Lowry acid theory.

You are a graduate student in the lab of a famous fly geneticist. You need to analyze a batch of mutant flies that were recently
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

knirps (a gap gene)

wingless (a segment-polarity gene)

kruppel (a gap gene)

even-skipped ( a pair-rule gene)

hunchback (a gap gene)

hedgehog (a segment-polarity gene)

Explanation:

The gap, segment-polarity and pair-rule genes play central roles in controlling embryonic development of arthropods. In the first place, the gap genes are associated with the formation of contiguous body segments, thereby mutations in these genes result in gaps in the normal body plan of the embryo. For example, in Drosophila melanogaster, mutations in the knirps, Krüppel and hunchback genes result in deletion of body segments. These genes are also known to regulate segment polarity genes, which determine the polarity of the embryonic parasegments by modulating Wnt and Hedgehog signaling pathways. Finally, the pair-rule genes work together with gap genes to control embryonic development of alternating body segments.

Why are steroids important to life?
lina2011 [118]
Steroids are naturally occurring as sterols, adrenal, sex hormones, some vitamins and make up most drugs as synthetic steroids.

Types Of Steroids and Their Functions
1. Anabolic Steroids
-increase muscle mass
-promote cell growth and division
-testosterone( natural anabolic steroid) is used in sperm production, development of male reproductive organs and emergence of male secondary sexual characteristics.
-stimulates bone and muscle growth.

2. Sex Hormones
-produced by adrenal cortex
-aid in development of gametes
-prepare females for pregnancy, menstruation

OTHER
-enable longer athletic sessions
-increase protein synthesis
-Anti-inflammatory steroids can reduce swelling, pain and other manifestations of inflammation
