In my opinion,I am fine with the idea of genetically modified crop because it has many benefits:

  • economic benefit:more crop can be raised
  • environmental benefit: less pesticides are used
  • human factor : whole world can be fed, poor can be fed all over the world, impossible without genetic crop.
  • vegetarian non-veg food can be grown
  • nutritional content can be improved
  • longer shelf life
  • medical benefits from GMO crops"pharmingëg:added vitamins,proteins

Answer: In my opinion, in a world  where there is still a lot of problems with food production and supply, I believe it is justified that research in bioengineering and genetic fields has been conducted over the past decades. The controversy in the agricultural sector when it comes to genetically modified crops resides in that it represents increased farmer profits for those who can afford to introduce technologies that enable their plants to be herbicide tolerant and insect resistant, but those who can't, don't have a fair chance. There are different legal and regulatory norms for GM foods according to each country,  some ban or restricting them, mostly due to environmental impacts.I would personally consume products grown in a GM corp as long as I know they comply with the current local regulations and they are not abusive to the environmental balance.

Explanation: Genetically modified crops are those in which the DNA has been  modified to satisfy certain production needs and produce genetically modified foods, or GM foods and other plants that are used in the production of pharmaceutical agents and some sorts of biofuels. Every country has its own regulations on the matter.

Farmers in both the Mayan and ancient Egyptian civilizations...
kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

A. Existed during The same time periods

Explanation:

Agriculture has been the basis of the Mayan economy since pre-Columbian times and corn is its main crop. The Maya also grew cotton, beans (beans or beans), sweet potatoes (sweet potatoes), cassava and cocoa. The techniques of spinning, dyeing and weaving achieved a high degree of perfection. As a unit of change, cocoa beans and copper bells were used, material that was also used for ornamental works, as well as gold, silver, jade, sea shells and colored feathers.

Egyptian agriculture was linked to the flood of the Nile and the silt deposited on the ground, turning it into a green and fertile mantle. They mainly grew cereals (barley, wheat), legumes and vegetables (leeks, lettuce, onions, garlic, cucumbers, radishes, beans, chickpeas) and fruits (melons, grapes, dates, figs). Some invading people brought new species such as apples, olives and pomegranates. In addition, pears, peaches, cherries and almonds appeared during the time of the Greek pharaohs. To make fabrics and ropes, the farmers also cultivated the linen.
