Answer: B)  troposphere

Explanation:

The lithosphere is the rigid outer part of the earth, comprising of the crust and the upper mantle. It is surrounded by the atmosphere above typically the first layer of the atmosphere from the surface that is troposphere and asthenosphere (includes regions above the upper mantle) below. Continental and oceanic plates are also the examples of continental and oceanic lithosphere.

On the basis of the above description, B)  troposphere is the correct option.

The answer is B Troposphere. The Troposphere is actually the lowest layer of atmosphere on the earth. The Lithosphere is the upper area of the Earth's solid layers.

Which of the following options lists the stages in cellular respiration in the correct order? glycolysis, the citric acid cycle,
marishachu [46]

Answer:

The correct answer is  glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation

Explanation:

Aerobic respiration contains three major processes that are glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation.

In glycolysis, partial oxidation of one mole of glucose gives two moles of pyruvate and 2 NADH and 2 ATP. Then this pyruvate is converted into acetyl-CoA in the mitochondrial matrix(in eukaryotes) and acts as a fuel for the Krebs cycle.

In the Krebs cycle, acetyl CoA gives rise to 4 CO₂, 2 ATP, 6 NADH, and 2 FADH₂. So from glycolysis and Krebs cycle, only 4 ATP is produced and most of the energy remains in the form of NADH and FADH₂.

So in oxidative phosphorylation electrons are released from these molecules into machinery of oxidative phosphorylation to synthesize ATP.

Transcribe the following strand of DNA: 5' A T T G C G A A C T G C G A G G A C T T C 3'?
Marina86 [1]

Answer:

The correct answer will be-

3'- T U U C G C T T G U C G C T C C T G U U G -5'.

Explanation:

The formation of the mRNA from the template strand or anti-sense strand is known as the transcription.

The nucleotide in the mRNA is added in the same way as the DNA according to the Chargaff rules which states that A will bind to T and G will bind to C but instead of adenine in mRNA will add uracil.

On the basis of this, the mRNA strand will be-

template strand:  5' A T T G C G A A C T G C G A G G A C T T C- 3'

mRNA strand:     3'- T U U C G C T T G U C G C T C C T G U U G-5'.
