Vado Diomande was infected with the killer outbreak of anthrax.
Explanation:
Vado Diomande is an African drum maker, musician and a dancer. while performing performing at a show in Pennsylvania, Vado Diomande collapsed suddenly and was found to be having increased malaise, cough and shortness of breath. He was rushed to the hospital where upon diagnostic investigation was found to have contracted anthrax.
Anthrax is a bacterial disease caused by the bacterium Bacillus anthracis and affects wild and domestic animals. When humans come in contact with infected animals, it becomes contagious.
Vado Diomande contracted this disease when he had purchased untanned raw goat skin from Ivory Coast to make drums; even though, transporting untanned animal skin is prohibited in the United States. He escaped confiscation from the customs officials also.
Later he stored the skin and started working on them to make drums in his Brooklyn warehouse. This made him inhale the anthrax spores which has been developed in the raw goat skin. He worked with the raw skin without any protective gears and was infected with lethal dose of anthrax.
Vado Diomande's anthrax infection is considered to be a rare case since it occurred through inhalation of anthrax bacterial spores.
