The correct answer is C)  70/x.

To calculate doubling time, rule of 70 formula is used.   For this the annual growth rate of the population is required. In this question growth rate is given x.  Thus, doubling time = 70/ growth rate.

Therefore, doubling time = 70/x.

Answer:

Option C

Explanation:

Rate of increase in a population is generally written as net population increase in a unit time.

Here "X" represents the growth rate of population of wolves.

Let us assume that X is equal to 23 wolves per month.

This means that 23 wolves are added every month to the wolves population.

Suppose if we have to derive the time in which the wolves population will increase to any number let us say "Y"

Then , time required will be equal to

\frac{Y}{X}

That means X will be denominator in a mathematical expression.

Thus, option C is correct

What role does cellular respiration play in the water cycle?
Katarina [22]

The right answer is It releases H2O to the atmosphere during electron transport.

Respiration was defined following Lavoisier's work as a mode of gaseous exchange by which a living being releases carbon dioxide in exchange for an absorption of oxygen.

It is usually the oxygen of the air that intervenes: activated, it will combine with protons to form the metabolic water excreted during breathing in the atmosphere.

What is the best example of how the nervous system maintains homeostasis?
Blizzard [7]
I'm not sure if it's the "best" example but.

If your blood tempature is low, the hypothalamus will issues reflex commands that make your body shiver. If you are hot, you will sweat is the opposite of this.

Another example is, if your blood contains pyrokines then you might have an infection so you begin to run a fever as your body's way to kill the pathogen at the direction of the hypothalamus.

Hope these examples help!

The area between Z lines is the
Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

Sarcomere

Explanation:

A myofibril or muscle fiber under an electron microscope shows alternate light band and dark bands.  These bands give the skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle a striated appearance. The light band is called the I- band or isotropic band, and the dark band is known as A- band or anisotropic band. In the center of the I-band Z-line is present. It is discovered from a German term Zwischenscheibe (between the disc). The portion of myofibril between one Z-line to the next Z-line is called sarcomere.
