Describe two nonverbal signals used in the workplace that you or people you know
Neporo4naja [7]

Answer:

The two non-verbal signals that are commonly used in the workplace are eye-contact and facial expression.

These signals means that one is paying attention when making an eye contact and facial expression signals how the listener is feeling.

Explanation:

Non-verbal communication is a form of communication in which the messages are given through the body-- posture, gesture, facial expression, etc. Using these non-verbal communication signals properly is important, especially in workplace.

There are several non-verbal signals used in workplace such as eye-contact, good posture, facial expression, physical distance, etc.

The two non-verbal signals that is commonly used are eye-contact and facial expression.

Eye-contact is a type of non-verbal signals that communicates the message that the listener is attentive in listening and is not wandered in his/her own thoughts. This non-verbal signal is important when you are talking to someone in your workplace, maintaing an eye-contact helps the other person to know that you are focused and attentive. It also resembles that you are respecting the speaker by listening to him/her attentively.

Facial expression is another form of non-verbal signal which expresses a lot about the feelings and emotions of the listener. If the listener is looking here and there or rolling his/her eyes, this conveys the message that he/she is getting bored and is not interested in listening. Whereas, if the person is smiling while listening to the speaker, it means that he/she is equally interested in the matter of the talk.
