  1. <u>Problem identification</u>:This is one of the most important step of conflict resolution stage.One needs to identify the root cause  of the conflict.
  2. <u>Solution suggestion:  </u>Brainstorming on the possible solutions that are required to resolve the problem/conflict
  3. <u>Solution evaluation</u><u>:</u>Selecting the best solution form the given array of solution. Selecting the solution that best fits the problem
  4. <u>Compromise/resolution</u>:This step involves getting each parties point of view about how they think the problem can be resolvedand then coming to a solution which is supported by both the parties
  5. <u>Mediation:</u>The mediator needs to get the two parties to shake hands and accept one of the alternatives identified in Step 4. The goal is to reach an agreement. However, it involves  answering  the questions like : “What action plans will you both put in place to prevent conflicts from arising in the future?” and “What will you do if problems arise in the future?
  6. <u>Arbitration:</u>Arbitration is a process whereby parties to a contract submit disputes arising between them to an independent third party for resolution(arbitrator).Usually it refers to settlement of conflict outside the court.
