What makes the anatomy of the stomach wall unique compared to the other parts of the digestive system?

Biology
1 answer:
siniylev [52]3 years ago
3 0

Answer:

The three muscle layers in the stomach's mascularis externa.

Explanation:

The stomach has four layers in their wall; The mucosa which is the inner lining of the stomach that secretes hydrochloric acid. The submucosa made of connective tissues, nerve fibres and blood vessels. The mascularis externa, made of 3 muscle layers responsible for contraction and parastalsis. The outer fibrous membrane or layer called serose.

The muscularis externa in the stomach is unique in that it has three muscle layers compared to the rest of the gastrointestinal tract. This is because the stomach has to work extra hard in mechanically breaking down chunks of food into smaller pieces during digestion.

 1. Prokaryotic cells have a cell wall surrounding their cell membrane .The Prokaryotic cells don't have a well defined nucleus .The genetic material of the cell is basically naked and not enveloped by the Nuclear membrane .
 2. Eukaryotic cells don't have a cell wall surrounding their cell membrane. The Eukaryotic cells have a well organised nucleus .The genetic material of the cell is surrounded by nuclear membrane or nuclear envelope.
 3. Both Eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells have DNA.Both have a plasma membrane or cell membrane.

What would be first three amino acids in the protein formed from this gene? UTC GTU TTG
Andrews [41]

Answer:

The three amino acid will be Tyrosine, Asparagine and Lysine respectively to sequence.

Explanation:

UTC GTU TTG

First the thymine in the sequence is changed to A, adenine because in the mRNA only three types of nucleotides are allowed which are Adenine, thymine and Uracil.

So the sequence will be:

UAC GAU AAG

These codons will be read by tRNA producing the polypeptide sequence of amino acids which are as follow:

Tyrosine Asparagine Lysine.

Cells assemble carbohydrates through dehydration synthesis which means a(n) what molecule is removed when the monomers are bonde
mr_godi [17]
The process for connecting two monomers together is called dehydration synthesis. Dehydration means “removal of water” and synthesis means “to join together”. So in this process, two monomers are covalently bonded by the removal of a water molecule. Each organic monomer has a hydroxyl group on one side and a hydrogen on the other. When two monomers line up side by side, they will have these two functional groups facing one another. The H and the OH will break off of their respective monomers and bond forming a water molecule. This is the dehydration part of the process. Each monomer now has a carbon atom that needs to covalently bond with something, so they bind to each other forming a polymer. That is the synthesis part of the process.
