Descriptive statistics involves various methods of collection, analysis , presentation as well as the summarization of a data set. It is involved in understanding the characteristics of the data by measuring the central tendency and measure of dispersion. Thus, it could be concluded that the prediction of the data is not done by the descriptive statistics.
