Answer:

Mouth, also called oral cavity or buccal cavity, in human anatomy, orifice through which food and air enter the body. The buccal cavity may serve as a space to temporarily store the food inside of a person's (or another animal's) mouth as well as a space where this food will be soaked with saliva coming from the parotid gland. This will help begin the process of digestion

MariettaO [177]
Physician recommends radiation therapy because radiation therapy helps in preventing cellular growth. It uses high-energy radiation to shrink tumor or kill cancer cells. It may be used to cure or to control malignancy when the tumor can no longer be removed or when lymph node involvement is present; also, it can be used prophylactically to prevent spread. Radiation therapy kills cancer cells by damaging their DNA which is the molecules inside cells that carry genetic information and pass it from generation to generation. Radiation therapy can either damage DNA directly or create charged particles within the cells that can in turn damage the DNA. Cancer cells whose DNA is damaged beyond repair stop dividing or die and when these cells die, they are eliminated by the body through natural process.

Which of the following statements is TRUE?
AlexFokin [52]

Answer: B (GTP serves as the energy input for AMP synthesis from IMP)

Explanation:

In the de novo synthesis of purine nucleotide, IMP represents a branch point for purine biosynthesis. IMP can be converted to either AMP or GMP.

The formation of AMP from IMP requires GTP; similarly formation of GMP requires ATP. The conversion of IMP to either AMP or GMP is highly regulated – AMP and GMP inhibits their own formation by feedback inhibition of adenlyosuccinate synthetase and IMP dehydrogenase.
