For two months, Milan used the same landscaping maintenance company. The company had a fixed reservation rate per month, plus an

hourly rate for the amount of time that is spent on landscaping work. Milan received two bills from the landscaping company. The first bill was $120.75 for 2.75 hours of
landscaping work and the second bill was $160.50 for 5.25 hours of landscaping work. Find the equation of the line that represents the landscaping company's fixed reservation rate and charge per hour. Round to the nearest cent, if necessary.

Answer:

The equation of the line that represents the landscaping company's fixed reservation rate and charge per hour is y=15.9x+77.025

Step-by-step explanation:

The first bill amount for 2.75 hours of  landscaping work = $120.75

The second bill amount for 5.25 hours of  landscaping work = $160.50

No we are supposed to find the equation of the line that represents the landscaping company's fixed reservation rate and charge per hour

So, we will us two point slope form to find the equation:

Formula : y-y_1=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}(x-x_1)

(x_1,y_1)=(2.75,120.75)\\(x_2,y_2)=(5.25,160.50)

Substitute the values in the formula

y-120.75=\frac{160.50-120.75}{5.25-2.75}(x-2.75)\\y=15.9x+77.025

Hence  the equation of the line that represents the landscaping company's fixed reservation rate and charge per hour is y=15.9x+77.025

-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

x=

3 /2

Step-by-step explanation:

12(5x−4.5)=36

(12)(5x)+(12)(−4.5)=36(Distribute)

60x+−54=36

60x−54=36

Step 2: Add 54 to both sides.

60x−54+54=36+54

60x=90

Step 3: Divide both sides by 60.

60x

60

=

90 /60

x=
