Answer:

C) $729,027

Explanation:

The formula to compute the break even point in dollars amount is shown below:

= (Fixed cost ) ÷ (Profit volume ratio)

where,

Fixed cost = $100,000 + $250,000 + $45,000 = $395,000

And the profit volume ratio would be

= (Contribution margin) ÷ (Sales) × 100

where Contribution margin equal to

= Sales - variable cost

The sales = $1,500,000 × 110% = $1,650,000

Variable cost would be

Direct Material = $250,000 × 112% = $280,000

Direct Labor = $150,000 × 112% = $168,000

Variable overhead = $75,000 ×112% = $84,000

Variable Selling & admin. Exp = $200,000 × 112% = $224,000

Total Variable Overhead = $756,000

Now the Contribution margin would be

= $1,650,000 - $756,000

= $894,000

And, Contribution margin ratio

= $894,000 ÷ $1,650,000 = 54.18181818%

So, the break-even point would be

= $395,000 ÷ 54.18181818%

= $729,027 approx

What is a power grid?
Sindrei [870]

Answer:

What is a power grid?

C) Transmission lines and transformers that take and send electricity from generating facilities to end users

Explanation:

A power grid is a system of interconnected transmission lines and transformers that takes electricity from the producers to the consumers. The power grid is very important in the supply of electricity to consumers. Before power is to be transmitted to the consumers, it has to be generated. Traditionally, the conventional way of generating power was from central power stations that utilized sources like; fossil fuels, coal and natural gas. In the recent past, however, more advancements have been made towards more clean energy sources like; wind, geothermal and hydroelectricity. Clean energy sources have several benefits over the traditional sources of energy, like; they don't cause harm to the environment and also they are renewable since they can be used over and over without depletion.

Once the energy has been harnessed and converted to electricity, it needs to be transmitted. The network for transmission to the consumers is what makes up the power grid. Transmission is usually done at very high voltage to minimize losses. However, before providing it the consumers, the electricity needs to be converted to a low voltage by the use of transformers for domestic and commercial consumption.

jasenka [17]

Gross income is different from Taxable Income. There are deductions that must be deducted from gross income to arrive at the taxable income.

Federal income tax this year

Correct option is C.

Georgia pay in federal income tax this year "$5,696. 00"

In order to find federal income tax, calculate adjusted gross income.

Then from adjusted gross income, subtract exemptions and deductions to get your taxable income.

Only 11 % of the people who belong to the age group 25-55 years do not pay federal income tax while more than 80% who belong to the age group of 75 years or older also do not pay tax.

Georgia's gross pay 35,600 this year.

Rate of federal income tax = 16%

Hence, amount paid by Georgia = 16/100×35,600 =$5696
