Let the center of the given circle is O .

And central angle is double of the angle subtended by the arc.

So central angle is twice of 84 degree.

And twice of 84 is 168 degree.

So the central angle is of measurement 168 degree.

And central angle is the measurement of the arc , therefore measurement of arc QS is 168 degree.

For each figure answer the following questions
Rudiy27

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  a) ∆ABC ~ ∆EDC by AA similarity

  b) ED/AB = 3/4

  c) 15 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Two angles in each triangle are the same, so the AA similarity postulate can be used to declare the ∆ABC ~ ∆EDC. (Each triangle includes a right angle and angle C.)

__

b) Corresponding sides are ED/AB, DC/BC, EC/AC. The ratio of corresponding sides is ED/BC = (12 cm)/(16 cm) = 3/4.

__

c) Using the ratios identified above, we have ...

  DC/BC = 3/4 = x/(20 cm)

  x = 3/4(20 cm)

  x = 15 cm

Setting:
nata0808 [166]
A. Mr. Kent interviewed the 54 students as they are going to leave the school, it is not considered to be a random sample. It is because a random sample is when a set is taken from a population. Mr. Kent interviewed the 54 who are going to leave, meaning, he didn't take a set out of that 54, he took all of them. So it is not a random sample.

b. The question that Mr. Kent asked is considered to be a leading question, so it does not seem biased.

c. If there are 54 respondents.
51 = yes, the rest is no.
= 54 - 51 = 3
= 3 is now divided to 54 = 3/54
= giving an answer of 0.0555
= 0.0555 x 100
= 5.6%
= The percent of responses that says 'no' is 5.6%
