The Cairo Conference of 1994 was an international meeting coordinated by the UN which took place in Cairo, Egypt, from September 5 to September 13, 1994. Its resulting Program of Action is the main document for the Population Fund of the United Nations.
According to the official communiqué of the ICPD, the delegates to the conference reached a consensus in the following qualitative and quantitative purposes:
1. Universal education
2. Reduction of the infant mortality rate and of children under 5 years of age
3. Reduction of the maternal mortality rate
4. Access to reproductive and sexual health services
